Academic Council
Teach to a standard the whole field shares.
One of the three Councils that power the Alliance. The Academic Council sets the curriculum standard, develops faculty, and lifts accreditation — so a graduate's competence means the same thing wherever they trained.
01 What the Council does
The curriculum engine of the Alliance.
Four functions, one purpose: a curriculum the whole field can trust.
The Academic Council defines what a competent rehabilitation professional must know and be able to do, and maps every member institution's syllabus to that shared, outcome-based standard. It is built on the WHO Rehabilitation Competency Framework, ISO 21001, outcome- and competency-based education, and India's National Education Policy 2020 and National Credit Framework.
- Curriculum standard — an outcome-based competency curriculum mapped to global frameworks and the National Credit Framework.
- Accreditation uplift — raising member programmes to one quality standard, strengthening standing with NAAC, NBA and the RCI.
- Faculty development — train-the-trainer and continuing development so teaching keeps pace with the standard.
- Validated teaching tools — AbilityScore® and PinnacleAI GPT-OS® as measurement and learning instruments in the classroom and clinic.
02 Who it serves
For educators, deans and curriculum leads.
If you lead a programme or a department, the Academic Council is where your curriculum stops being an island. Member Institutions hold a seat here; faculty co-author into the research commons and shape the standard the field hires against.
03 How it connects
One engine in a three-Council system.
The Academic Council teaches the standard; the Clinical Council forms it in practice across the largest clinical estate; the Research Council proves and refines it. Together they power the flywheel that Institutions, Industry and Students turn.
