Clinical Council
Where the workforce is truly formed.
One of the three Councils that power the Alliance. The Clinical Council turns classroom competence into clinical capability — governing supervised practicum across the field's largest clinical estate, with assessment, logbooks and tele-supervision built in.
01 What the Council does
The practicum engine of the Alliance.
Four functions, one purpose: real, supervised, assessed practice.
A standard is only real when it is practised under supervision. The Clinical Council governs structured student practicum across 70+ centres in four states, sets supervision and assessment protocols, and extends reach through tele-rehabilitation — built on the WFOT Minimum Standards, World Physiotherapy education standards, ASHA/IALP standards, and ATA/WHO tele-rehabilitation guidelines.
- Supervised practicum — guaranteed, structured placements at the largest clinical estate in the field, with qualified supervision.
- Assessment & logbooks — standardised competency assessment and logbooks that count toward the credential.
- Tele-supervision — a digital and remote-supervision model that reaches the long tail and underserved districts.
- Clinical standards — supervision, safety and disciplinary standards held in common across the network.
02 Who it serves
For clinicians, supervisors and practicum directors.
If you supervise students or run a practicum, the Clinical Council is your home in the Alliance — a place to standardise supervision, share assessment, and ensure every graduate has been genuinely, safely formed.
03 How it connects
One engine in a three-Council system.
The Academic Council teaches the standard; the Clinical Council forms it across the clinical estate; the Research Council proves and refines it. Students earn their practicum here; Institutions and Industry rely on it.
